21st century curriculum
The educational experience we provide students today must focus on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will prepare them for success in meeting the demands of an increasingly complex global society. Success in the 21st century requires students to learn how to take greater ownership and responsibility as an independent learner, while at the same time understand the need and power of collaboration with others. Key to student success is the development of strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral. A 21st century curriculum strategically embeds opportunities for students to learn critical 21st century skills in and through discipline specific and interdisciplinary project-based and technology enhanced learning experiences.
